Three-spined Stickleback

Post by YvonneB » 09 May 2012, 20:59

Because of the low water level in the nearby culvert quite a few fish could be seen in the clear water. On further investigation these seem to be Three-spined Stickleback - looking at the NBN Gateway they don't seem to have been recorded for this 10km square although they have been recorded in many other places throughout the Outer Hebrides.

All critters were released unharmed back to the culvert :)
